SECURITY TRAINING UNDER SCRUTINY

Following the success of four previous forums, Security and Defence Learning 2009, the 5th International Forum on Technology Assisted Learning and Training for Defence, Security and Emergency Services will review the new training challenges facing today’s security and emergency services, assess the impact of new technology and consider the potential for future development.

“Security & Defence Learning is all about spotting trends and opportunities in education and examining their application in the security sector,” says Dr Harold Elletson, the Chairman of the New Security Foundation. “It is also an opportunity to look at a number of worrying modern security challenges and consider how new training systems and technologies can help to overcome them.”

The annual conference on technology-assisted learning for security, defence and emergency services brings security planners together with education and training experts from Europe and beyond for a day of intensive discussion and networking.

The call for papers for ‘Security and Defence Learning 2009  is open to anyone with an interest in how technology can enhance learning and training for security, defence and emergency services. A full list of themes likely to be discussed at the conference is available here.
